Does ChatGPT work in China?
No, from both directions. The Great Firewall blocks ChatGPT, and OpenAI doesn't offer service in mainland China either, so even a clean connection would be refused. First, OpenAI, like Netflix, is suspicious of IP addresses shared by many people, and heavily-used commercial VPN ranges sometimes get challenged or rate-limited.
